The author of Contemporary Nigerian Cuisine, Funke Koleosho, took part in a GMTV (United Kingdom Television Network) programme in the run-up to Christmas 2008, preparing the perfect Nigerian Christmas Dinner.
She featured the traditional jollof rice, served with turkey strips roasted with suya spices and diced fried plantain with mixed sweet peppers. Recipes for the dishes are contained in this cookbook and the GMTV website.
The programme is shown as part of providing ideas for preparing Christmas Dinners (December 2008).
